Overview

The KwaZulu-Natal Museum seeks a five-year Service Level Agreement for professional Museum & Heritage conservation materials, tools and equipment and advisory services. Bidders should be qualified conservation organizations with proven international sourcing capabilities and a track record supplying to art galleries and heritage institutions; must employ at least one qualified conservationist on staff to advise on best products and practice. Preference points (80/20) apply for Black Ownership (6), Women Owned (2), Youth Owned (2), Disability Owned (2), and Locality (Msunduzi Municipality) (8).

Requirements

• At least one qualified conservationist on staff.
• Track record sourcing items internationally.
• History of providing such equipment/services to art galleries and heritage institutions.
• Annual retention fee to be stipulated; item costs negotiated case-by-case.
• Compliance: CSD registration, Tax PIN, BBBEE certificate; complete required declarations/disclosures (e.g., Bidder’s Disclosure forms).
