Overview

Service, maintenance and repair of municipal yellow fleet and heavy vehicles for 36 months. This tender seeks qualified technicians/service providers to maintain and repair the municipal fleet; CIDB level 5ME or higher is required, with mandatory CSD registration and other pre-qualification criteria.

Requirements

• CIDB: 5ME or Higher; audited financials if contract value exceeds R10 million.
• Registration: Central Supplier Database (CSD); CIPC registration; SARS/TCS PIN if applicable.
• Competence: NQF-level 6 mechanical engineering or equivalent; trade test certificate (mechanic/electrical); certified workshop technician qualifications.
• Infrastructure: established workshop or mobile workshop; pro forma workshop indemnity/insurance; workshop ownership or lease; security at premises; Retail Motor Industry Compliance certificate.
• Compliance: UIF and COIDA good standing; municipal rates/taxes not older than 3 months and not in 90-day arrears (affidavit allowed if not paying).
• Returnable documents: original bid documents, company profile, IDs of directors, JV documentation if applicable, affidavits, and declarations.
• Evaluation: minimum 60/100 for functionality; 80/20 price-specific goals after functionality; specific goals include Black People, Youth, Women ownership, SMMEs, People with disability, and local jurisdiction (Makhuduthamaga) participation (as per bid document).
