Overview

Procurement of a service provider to install 340 solar LED bird flappers on 20 guy ropes at the Thabazimbi site, using an abseiling/rappelling system. Bidders with rope-access installation, fall-protection, OH&S management, solar hardware, and project execution capabilities should consider bidding.

Requirements

• Administrative and vendor eligibility
• Be registered on the Sentech Supplier Database; tax compliant; quotations on company letterhead; bids submitted via email; maintain confidentiality.
• Mandatory technical qualifications: 1 x Level 3 rope‑access supervisor and 6 x Level 1 rope‑access personnel; valid Letter of Good Standing (Department of Labour/FEM/RMA).
• Evaluation criteria (functional and price): detailed Method Statement and Gantt Chart; proven abseiling/rappelling project experience; CV for a qualified Team Leader; complete supporting documentation.
• Additional OH&S/ENV requirements as per Annexure A (Safety file, training records, medical fitness, insurance, etc.).
