Overview

PRASA seeks a service provider to supply and deliver ID cards and printing equipment for PRASA/RAIL in the Western Cape Region. Suitable bidders are those with ID card printing capabilities and related consumables (ribbon kits, laminating materials, blank cards with chips, lanyards, holders) and who meet PRASA’s supplier requirements (CSD registration, tax compliance, BBBEE, etc.).

Requirements

• Central Supplier Database (CSD) registration or number; SARS tax compliance PIN; CPIC/company registration documents; certified IDs for directors; BBBEE certificate or sworn affidavit.
• CIDB consideration (proof of grading or clear statement if not applicable).
• Returnable documents completed (including declarations) and compliance with PRASA General Conditions of Purchase.
• Not in service of the state; no disqualifying affiliations; proof of authority to sign.
• Specific items being procured include ID card ribbons, laminating ribbons, blank ISO cards with chips, PRASA-branded lanyards, and ID card holders (as per the attached specifications).
• Special condition: funding contingent—award subject to securing budget before finalization.
• Evaluation uses 80/20 price-specific-goals, with 60% minimum for technical/functionality (where applicable) and 60 working days validity.

• Required registrations/pre-qualifications: CSD registration; SARS PIN or TCS; proof of company registration; BBBEE documentation; separate TCS for consortia/sub-contractors; Joint Venture/Partnering agreements if applicable.
• Briefing session: not applicable for compulsory attendance (Section 7 indicates no mandatory briefing).
• If replying, ensure 60-working-day bid validity; delivery terms to be stated by bidder; delivery of items per order.
