Overview

Rand Water invites bids to provide Service UPS at Zuikerbosch Water Treatment Plant (1WA, 2WA and 5 Station). Bidders should be electrical/UPS service specialists with CIDB 3EB or higher and bid via Rand Water’s online system; only one supplier will be awarded.

Requirements

• CIDB qualification: contractor grading of 3EB+ or higher; CIDB registration before evaluation; joint ventures allowed under stated conditions.
• Pre-qualifications: Letter of Good Standing (COIDA), CIDB registration or capability, fully completed Form of Offer and Acceptance.
• Returnables and compliance: Pricing Schedule/BoQ; Compulsory Enterprise Questionnaire; SBD 6.1 and SBD 4; Resolution Letter; B-BBEE or sworn affidavit; record of addenda; alternative bid provisions if any; qualifications to bid.
• Eligibility and evaluation: functionality minimum 70/100; price scoring under 80/20 or 90/10 depending on contract value; BBBEE points; evaluation steps include pre-qualification, functionality, then price.
• Submissions: online submissions only (Rand Water Online Bids Application or bids.randwater.co.za); late submissions not accepted; bid validity up to 90 days; clarifications may lead to addenda up to 3 days before closing.
• Site information and safety: attend site as per Annexure C4; PPE (safety shoes) and access controls noted. (See attached documents for site details and scope.)

• Prepare and submit: Form of Offer and Acceptance; Pricing Schedule; SBD 4, SBD 6.1; CIDB/CSD/tax clearance; COIDA; B-BBEE documentation; record of previous experience and HR/equipment capacity as required (See T2 sections).
• Pre-qualify: ensure CIDB registration 3EB+; provide Letter of Good Standing; include all returnable documents.
• Site briefing: non-compulsory briefing on 22 September 2026 at Rand Water Zuikerbosch; wear safety shoes; venue details in RFQ (see Request for Quotation.pdf).
• Deadline: submit by 30 September 2026, 16:00 (online). Questions/clarifications per Bid Data; Rand Water may extend close date by up to 3 days before closing.
