SERVICING AND MAINTENANCE OF BACK UP GENERATORS

Overview

Servicing and maintenance of back up generators for Matatiele Local Municipality. This open tender seeks a service provider to perform scheduled servicing, preventive maintenance, on-site repairs and related support for the municipality’s backup power generators. Bidders should have generator maintenance capability, electrical/mechanical expertise and CIDB ME2 or higher, plus compliance withTax Clearance (SARS), CSD registration, and other SCM requirements.

Requirements

• CIDB Grade ME2 or higher (attach certified copy)
• Wireman’s license
• Valid COID/Letter of Good Standing
• Tax clearance certificate or SARS PIN (TCS) and tax status
• Confirmation of registration on National Treasury Central Supplier Database (CSD) and full report
• Completion of MBD forms: MBD1, MBD4, MBD6.1, MBD7.1, MBD8, MBD9
• Schedules A and B (Past Experience) and, if applicable, JV/consortium documents
• Prices must be firm and inclusive of VAT; compliance with PPPFA 80/20; minimum functionality threshold of 90 to proceed
• CIDB/experience requirements, including past generator servicing capability; Wireman’s license; COID/COIDA requirements

• Submission deadline: 02 November 2026 at 10:00 (closing time); late bids will not be accepted.
• Submission method: sealed bids deposited in the MATATIELE SCMU bid box at New BTO Offices; do not submit by email; use the official tender documents.
• Documents to complete and submit: MBD1 (Invitation to bid), MBD2 (Tax clearance), MBD4 (Declaration of Interest), MBD6.1 (Preferential Points), MBD7.1 (Contract Form), MBD8 (Past Supply Chain), MBD9 (Independent Bid), Schedules A & B, and related annexures; include CSD confirmation and tax clearance; Ethics Commitment; JV agreements if any.
• Registrations/pre-qualifications: SARS Tax Clearance or PIN; CSD registration; CIDB grade ME2+; VAT (if applicable); COID; ensure compliance with PPPFA requirements.
