Overview

Procurement of the Simmerpan Complex DC Workshop and Battery Room Upgrade, including design, supply, installation, testing, commissioning and certification to comply with NEC3 ECC. This is a construction tender open to contractors with NEC3 ECC experience, CIDB grading, and capability across quality, environmental, and OHS/SHEQ requirements. Requirements

• NEC3 Engineering and Construction Contract (ECC3) compliance and scope as per NEC-based technical and SHEQ specs.
• CIDB registration; CIDB proof of grading required as part of tender returnables.
• Quality management: ISO 9001-based QMS (Supplier Quality Management Specification 240-105658000) and related Eskom QMS requirements.
• Environmental management: ISO 14001:2015 framework and Eskom environmental requirements (240-180100134) plus environmental proforma (240-180100129).
• Health, Safety and SHEQ: compliance with Eskom OHS/SHEQ policies and contractor OHS management (e.g., 32-726; 32-95 Incident Management Procedure) and site-specific health and safety rules.
• Local content and import declarations: complete Annexures G2–G4 and related Annex C schedules; comply with local content declarations and import declarations as applicable.
• PAYE/tax compliance: complete PAYE Questionnaire for Eskom Service Contracts (2026/27) and related contractor verification.
• Returnables: Standard Conditions of Tender, Tender Data, Commercial Tender returnables, and the Activity Schedule for DC Workshop Refurbishment (Pricing Schedule).
