Overview

This RFQ invites SITA accredited service providers on Transversal No. 1183 to supply, deliver and install a firewall and proxy server for the KwaZulu-Natal Department of Social Development, under a 60-month contract. Requirements

• Must be an approved SITA Transversal No.1183 service provider and formally accredited to render the required services in KwaZulu-Natal.
• Bidder(s) must be compliant on the Central Suppliers Database (CSD) and/or provide SARS Tax Compliance PIN; in consortia, each party must submit separate TCS/PIN.
• Provide Tax Compliance status (PIN) or CSD number; ensure tax matters are in order.
• Submit B-BBEE proof (B-BBEE status level verification certificate or sworn affidavit) to qualify for specific goals.
• Complete and submit all official bidding forms (e.g., SBD 1, SBD 4, SBD 6.1, SBD 7) and pricing schedules as prescribed; documents may not be retyped.
• Attend any official briefing session/site inspection if applicable (details in the bidding documents; briefing address: 208 Hoosen Haffejee Street, Pietermaritzburg). (See attached file for exact requirements.)
• Scope includes design, installation, configuration, 7x24x365 support, and ongoing management of a firewall/proxy solution with ML-based threat intel, logs, alerts, and knowledge transfer. Hardware includes multi-port, high‑capacity firewall with integrated OS and hardware acceleration; maintenance for 60 months. (Quoted in Annexes A/B of the pricing schedule.)
• Contractual terms follow GCC, PCC, and specific SCC provisions, including performance security and penalties. (See attached document.)
