STRIP AND REPAIR OF LAWNMOWERS, BRUSH CUTTERS, CHAIN SAWS AND SIMILAR SMALL PLANT EQUIPMENT

Overview

Procurement of strip and repair of lawnmowers, brush cutters, chain saws and similar small plant equipment for Mossel Bay Municipality, for a three-year term. Bidders should have mechanical/repair capabilities and be prepared to meet requirements including CIDB (if applicable), Tax Clearance, CSD registration, B-BBEE status, and proven locality in Mossel Bay/Garden Route.

Requirements

• CIDB registration (if applicable) and number; status active at evaluation.
• Tax clearance: SARS Tax Compliance Pin; separate pins for a Consortium; must accompany bid or be verifiable post-closing.
• Central Supplier Database registration (CSD): bidders not registered may not be awarded.
• B-BBEE status: provide valid certificate or equivalent documentation per the Codes of Good Practice.
• Locality: provide evidence to earn locality points (e.g., municipal rates, lease, or sworn affidavit for the business premises in Mossel Bay region).
• Authorized signatory: board/authorised signatory Resolution and signature on the bid document.
• CIDB (If applicable) documentation and CIDB number; bidder status checked during evaluation.
• Letter of Good Standing from the Compensation Commissioner (and separate for joint ventures if applicable).
• Site/Information meetings: compulsory attendance if advertised.
• Pricing: complete Pricing Schedule as part of Section 2; responsive bids follow 80/20 or 90/10 preference with locality considerations.
• Documents to submit: MBD forms (MBD1, MBD4, MBD5, MBD6.1, etc.) and any JV agreements where applicable.

How to Apply

• Complete original tender document in black ink, with Section 5 Declaration, and ensure no retyping; use the official documents.
• Registers to submit: Tax Pin (SARS), CIDB (if applicable), CSD registration, Proof of locality (municipal rates/lease), Letter of Good Standing from Compensation Commissioner, B-BBEE status, SARS PINs, and Joint Venture documents if any.
• Submit by sealed envelope in the Mossel Bay Town Hall tender box at 101 Marsh Street by 12h00 on 13 November 2026; late, emailed, or faxed tenders will not be accepted.
• Site/Information meetings are compulsory; all bidders (and JV partners) must attend.
• Evaluation includes responsiveness to specs and adherence to the Preferential Procurement Policy; contract signing in Section 6; possible extension/negotiation if funds vary.
