Overview

This RFQ is for the supply and delivery of laboratory consumables to the Department of Environment, Forestry and Fisheries (DFFE). Suppliers with capability to source a wide range of lab chemicals, reagents, solvents, glassware and PPE, and to deliver to Cape Town, should bid. Compliance with BBB-EE, tax, and procurement requirements is required.

Requirements

• Complete and sign SBD 6.1 (for specific goals) and SBD 4 documents.
• SANAS/CIPC-accredited BBB-EE certificate or sworn affidavit; ownership certificates; CSD/MAAA number.
• Tax compliance: SARS PIN or tax clearance; VAT registration as applicable.
• Delivery timelines and price validity; quotes valid for 90 days from closing.
• Mandatory submission of a Food Premises Certificate in the bidding company name.
• CSD Registration Report or MAAA number.
• If claiming specific goals, provide supporting documentation for Black ownership, Women ownership, and Disability ownership (each 20 points).

How to Apply

• Submission deadline: 11 September 2026 at 11:00 (quotations advertised for at least 7 days).
• Submission method: Email quotes on your letterhead to RFQCT@dffe.gov.za; include banking details and CSD/MAAA number.
• Documents to submit: Completed SBD 4 and SBD 6.1; itemized pricing; proof of BBB-EE; CSD/MAAA; tax status; and any other tender documents requested (as per the RFQ).
• Pre-qualifications/registrations: CSD number; SARS tax status; BBB-EE documentation.
