Overview

RFQ for supply and delivery of laundry services for Marion Island and Gough Island Return Voyages (collect and deliver). The Department of Environment, Forestry and Fisheries seeks a laundry service provider capable of remote-journey turnaround, with compliant cleaning, packaging, mending and garment care as specified in the attached RFQ (DFFEQ 115 LAUNDRY SERVICES.pdf).

Requirements

• Complete and sign SBD forms (SBD 4, SBD 6.1) and submit on letterhead with banking details.
• Submit proof for preference points: SANAS/B-BBEE certificate (or sworn affidavit), CSD/MAAA number, and ownership disclosures.
• Tax/compliance: VAT status, SARS PIN or CSD number, and general tax compliance.
• Product/spec compliance: dry-cleaning chemicals must be SABS-certified; apparel treatments (e.g., padding, seam sealing) per specification; all pricing firm unless otherwise stated.
• Delivery timelines and performance: deliver as per official orders; failure to deliver on time may lead to cancellation.
• DFFE reservation: may request additional info or negotiate prices.

• Submission method: quotes must be emailed to RFQCT@dffe.gov.za on company letterhead with banking details; include VAT where applicable.
• Documents to submit: completed quotation on letterhead, SBD 4 and SBD 6.1, banking details, CSD/MAAA number, BBB-EE proof; ensure compliance with NOTE 2–NOTE 4 in the RFQ.
• Registrations/pre-qualifications: CSD/MAAA number and tax status PIN; SANAS/CIPC accredited BBB-EE certificate or sworn affidavit.
