Overview

This RFQ seeks to supply and deliver pharmaceuticals and medical consumables for the Department of Environment, Forestry and Fisheries’ Gough Island Expedition 2026. Eligible bidders are medical suppliers and pharmaceutical distributors with SAPC registrations, BBB-EE credentials, and the ability to deliver under firm prices with appropriate tax and regulatory compliance.

Requirements

• Submit SBD 4 and SBD 6.1 forms (complete, sign, and attach supporting documents) and indicate delivery timelines.
• Professional registrations: Certificate of Registration of the responsible pharmacist (SAPC) and Certificate of Registration of Pharmacy (SAPC).
• Compliance with tax and regulatory requirements: SARS tax status/pin and Central Supplier Database (CSD) number or report; VAT where applicable.
• Preferential procurement: SANAS/CIPC accredited BBB-EE certificate or sworn affidavit; JVs must submit consolidated BBB-EE credentials; CIPC ownership certificate; CSD/MAAA number.
• Quotations must be firm unless specified otherwise; prices valid for a defined period (RFQ notes 90 days from close in practice).
• DFFE reserves the right to request further information, perform due diligence, or negotiate prices; no obligation to award.

How to Apply

• Submissions due by 17 July 2026 at 11:00. Quotations must be emailed to RFQCT@dffe.gov.za (see RFQ 文). Attach on company letterhead with banking details and CSD/MAAA number.
• Include per-item pricing, VAT where applicable, and ensure all required registrations are provided.
• Complete and sign the SBD 4 and SBD 6.1 forms with supporting documents as indicated.
• Refer to the attached RFQ item master for descriptions and quantities (DFFEQ 87 MEDICAL SUPPLIES.pdf). No goods may be delivered before a DFFE official order.

Notes: The RFQ may include a 80/20 preference system (Price 80, Specific Goals 20) and requires compliance with stated pre-qualification and registration criteria.
