Overview

Supply and delivery of FAC Materials Turbine Pipes Unit 1 for Matla Power Station. Bidders should be pipe/materials suppliers or fabricators with FAC piping experience, capable of meeting Eskom’s Tender Conditions, local-content rules and documentation requirements; must be registered on the CSD before award, provide relevant tax/CSD evidence, and comply with Eskom’s Tendering Conditions. Foreign bidders may participate where allowed and must provide required documentation.

Requirements

• Eligibility: no Eskom restrictions; not on sanctions or Tender Defaulters list; no conflict of interest; not sub-contracting 100% of the scope; properly authorised signatories; CIDB not applicable here.
• Mandatory contractual/docs: CSD registration; Eskom Purchasing/Tendering Conditions; completed BOQ; SBD forms (at minimum SBD 1, SBD 6.1, SBD 4) and related annexures; local-content declarations if applicable.
• Documentation and compliance: tax clearance (local) or tax-related forms for foreign bidders; integrity and other declarations; CIDB grading not required; safety, environmental and SDL&I requirements where applicable.
• Evaluation criteria: functionality threshold of 70%; price evaluation with VAT included; PPPFA-specific goals; local procurement content (steel pipes with 100% local-content target) and job-creation provisions.
• Other: Local Content Declaration (Summary and supporting schedules G1–G4); pricing schedule in PDF; electronic submission only; max 4 GB per submission; 180-day tender validity; payment terms aligned to Eskom policy.

How to Apply

• Intermediate deadlines: clarification questions due five working days before the closing date; non-attendance at mandatory/clarification sessions may lead to disqualification if stipulated.
• Submission method: electronic submission via Eskom E-tendering site (no hard copies).
• Documents to submit (hard and electronic): Annexures A–O, SBDs, pricing schedule, and the mandatory returnables listed in the ITT (see Annexure list in the Invitation to Tender Rev. 28).
• Pre-qualification/registrations: CSD Registration (before award); potential tax-compliance proof; CIDB where applicable (not required for this contract).
