Overview

Supply and deliver of office furniture for a 12-month contract to uMzimkhulu Local Municipality. Reputable and experienced service providers capable of furnishing and delivering office furniture should bid. The project uses an 80/20 preference points system (80% price, 20% specific goals) with SCM policy applying; price validity is 180 days; bidding is open to South African entities meeting CSD/CIPC requirements and ownership goals.

Requirements

• CSD registration with proof or CSD number; CIDB not explicitly required in text.
• Bid documentation: MBD4, MBD6.1, MBD8 & MBD9; signed by an authorized person on company letterhead.
• Certificate of Authority to sign all tender documents and contracts (Board of Directors’ sign-off).
• 80/20 Preference Points System; specific goals include:
  • Ownership by SA citizens (100% = 10 points; 50% = 5 points; <50% = 2.5 points).
  • Location within KwaZulu-Natal province (promotion of local business) = 10 points.
  • Evidence-based preferential addressing on CSD (utility bill or Induna/Chief letter) as applicable.
• 180 days price validity.
• Tender documents must be purchased (R250 per document or bank guaranteed cheque to uMzimkhulu Municipality); documents available via website or cashier.
