Overview

Procurement of supply and delivery of 350 bales (20x10) folded heavy duty black refuse bags 750mmx950mm (40 micron). Umsobomvu Local Municipality invites quotes from suppliers to furnish and deliver the bags. Suitable bidders are manufacturers or suppliers of refuse bags with capacity to meet the order and able to comply with South African procurement rules (CSD registration, SARS tax clearance, B-BBEE, SABS approval, etc.).

Requirements

• Tax clearance status (Pin or certificate) and VAT details.
• Certified copies of identity documents for all owners/directors (or for JV, all members).
• Company registration documents (CIPC).
• Certified evidence of B-BBEE status or affidavit (SANAS/IRBA/SANA or equivalent).
• Proof of municipal accounts in order (no >3 months arrears) or lease arrangements for rural areas.
• Registration on Central Supplier Database (CSD) with proof of current registration.
• Address and municipality VAT number (4700193941) on the quotation.
• Product must be SABS approved; local content documentation as applicable.
• Quotation must be on company letterhead, include full pricing, and be valid for 90 days.

How to Apply

• Submission deadline: 07 August 2026 at 12:00.
• Submission method: Sealed written quotations placed in the tender box at Umsobomvu Local Municipality, 21A Church Street, Colesberg 9795. Late, faxed, or electronic submissions will not be accepted.
• Documents to complete/submit: Complete quotation on letterhead plus the formal RFQ document (MBD1, MBD4, MBD6.1, MBD8, MBD9), pricing schedule, and all compulsory attachments referenced in Section 2.
• Required registrations/pre-qualifications: Tax clearance, CSD registration, and B-BBEE documentation; municipal accounts where applicable.
