Overview

The University of Fort Hare invites bids to supply and deliver five network laptops. The procurement is for enterprise-grade laptops for the Network Department, with specifications aligned to UFH ICT device standards (HP ZBook-class models with high-end CPU, large RAM and storage, Windows 11 Pro, WWAN/Wi‑Fi, and onsite support). Bidders should be capable ICT hardware suppliers with experience in enterprise laptops and must be registered on the Central Supplier Database (CSD) and UFH’s internal supplier database, and comply with UFH SCM policies and GBV/ethics requirements.

Requirements

• Mandatory registrations: CSD and UFH internal supplier database
• Tax clearance certificate (original)
• Complete SQD Form 1 and related bid documents (e.g., Pricing Declaration) and standard bidding forms (SBD 4, SBD 9)
• Compliance with UFH SCM policies and GBV/ethics requirements
• Proof of company information and party-eligible declarations (e.g., declarations of interest, independence) as per SBDs
• Preference considerations under the 80/20 (or applicable) system with B-BBEE proof
• Conformity to attached device specification for five HP laptops (enterprise-class hardware, 16" or similar display, high memory/configuration, Windows 11 Pro, Wi‑Fi/WWAN, and onsite support) as per RFQ/specification documents
