Overview

The RFQ seeks the supply, delivery and installation of a Fiber Tunnel-Greenhouse with Wetwall Cooling System, Electrical Components, and Generator. It targets bidders with greenhouse tunnel construction/installation experience and capability to supply the Wetwall system, smart controllers, switchboards and a generator, with BBBEE 80/20 requirements.

Requirements

• Stage 1: Administrative and mandatory documents (RFQ forms, company registration/vendor number, SARS Tax Compliance Status, two reference letters for similar greenhouse tunnel projects, product brochures/technical datasheets, warranty for major components).
• Non-mandatory: CSD MAAA number and BBBEE certificate.
• Stage 2: Price and Preference evaluation with firm prices, 90-day validity, VAT 15%, and BBBEE-based scoring (80/20 system).
• Additional: bid must be submitted to MUT by the closing date; MUT may accept part or none of the bid; 180 working days non-contact clause if not awarded.

• Submission deadline and method: 15 October 2026, 11:00; submit via email to deborah@mut.ac.za (no fax, late or electronic bids accepted).
• Documents to submit: completed RFQ forms; company registration or MUT vendor number; SARS Tax Compliance Status; two reference letters; product brochures/technical datasheets; warranty details; CSD/B-BBEE details optional but advantageous.
• Payment terms: 30 days in arrears upon receipt of valid invoice.
• Other: Clarifications to be directed to the buyer; if not contacted within 180 working days after closing, tender deemed unsuccessful.
