Overview

Procurement of supply and delivery of ammunition to the City of Cape Town for the Metropolitan Police Services, under Tender 22G/2026/27, for a 36-month contract. Bidders should have ammunition supply capability and hold required firearms licenses and arms-control registrations to supply directly to a municipal entity.

Requirements

• Valid dealer’s licence or manufacturer’s licence under the Firearms Control Act; if supplying ammunition directly to the City, a dealer’s licence is mandatory (manufacturer’s licence alone is insufficient); where applicable, a Certificate of Registration under the Conventional Arms Control Act.
• Tax compliance: SARS Tax Compliance Status PIN (separate PINs for joint ventures).
• CCT and National Treasury registrations: registration on the City of Cape Town Supplier Database and on the Central Supplier Database (CSD); separate registrations for each JV partner.
• Returnable SCM documentation: Details of Tenderer; Certificate of Authority for Partnerships/JVs/Consortiums; Declarations of Interest, Conflicts, and Independent Bid Determination; Authorisation for deduction of amounts owed; plus other required returnables per Annexure F.
• Health and Safety: be prepared to provide a Health and Safety Plan on request.
• Data protection: comply with POPIA requirements in tender context.
• Other: comply with SCM policy, supplier due diligence, and related contractual/Legal obligations.
