Overview

Procurement of the supply and delivery of aviation (Jet-A1) fuel to Athlone and Roggebaai gas turbines. The City of Cape Town (Electricity Generation and Distribution) issues an open tender for up to 33 months, inviting bidders with aviation fuel supply and delivery capability to comply with SCM rules and safety standards.

Requirements

• Compliance with the City’s SCM policy, integrity requirements, and declarations of conflicts of interest; ability to proceed with the contract.
• Mandatory registrations: be registered on the City of Cape Town Supplier Database and on the National Treasury Central Supplier Database (CSD).
• Tender documentation: complete the Form of Offer and Acceptance, submit the Price Schedule (C.4) and provide all returnable documents (Annexure F series), plus required declarations (e.g., deviation, interest) as applicable.

How to Apply

• Submission deadline: 05 August 2026, 10:00 (closing window per the tender document 10G/2026/27). Site visit/clarification meeting on 24 July 2026, 10:00–11:30; via MS Teams (not compulsory but strongly recommended).
• Submission method: sealed envelope/tender box submission to Tender Box 177, Civic Centre, 12 Hertzog Boulevard, Cape Town. If too large, follow alternative instructions at the public counter.
• Documents to submit: the Tender Document requires the completed Form of Offer and Acceptance, Price Schedule, Occupational Health and Safety Agreement, and all returnable Annexures (e.g., F.4, F.5, F.9, F.10, F.11, F.12, F.13, F.14) as applicable. Tender fee: R200 for hard copies (not applicable to online downloads).
• Pre-qualifications/registrations: register on the City’s Supplier Database and the National Treasury’s CSD (if requested by the City).
