Supply and delivery of bituminous products

Overview

The City of Cape Town seeks the supply and delivery of bituminous products under Tender 83G/2026/27. This open tender targets suppliers of base bitumen and related bituminous products with logistics capability to service depot deliveries. Suitable bidders are those in road construction/maintenance supply, able to meet the City’s SCM requirements and Schedule F declarations, and who are in good standing with relevant registrations.

Requirements

• Compliance with the City’s SCM Policy and all Schedule F declarations.
• Registration on the CCT Supplier Database and the National Treasury Central Supplier Database (CSD).
• Submission of all returnable tender documents (Details of Tenderer, Certificate of Authority for JV/consortium, Declarations of Interest and Conflicts, Certificate of Independent Bid Determination, etc.).
• Compulsory attendance at the site clarification/briefing meeting.
• Submission of technical data sheets and product specifications (Schedule F.13A; relevant C.5 sections).
• Provision for samples if requested; ability to verify compliance with specifications.
• Tax matters with SARS in order; no disqualifying conflicts of interest or prior SCM policy breaches.
• Price compliance with the CCT Price Schedule (C.4) and adherence to bidding procedures (no unauthorized alterations).

How to Apply

• Deadline and briefing: Mandatory clarification meeting 16 October 2026 at 10:00 via Microsoft Teams (details in the advert document). • Submission method: sealed envelope with tender number and closing date, placed in the Civic Centre tender box; if the tender is too large, request alternate submission instructions.
• Documents to submit: the original tender documents plus all Schedule F returnables (including Schedule F.13A and related product information/rates) and the Form of Offer and Acceptance; ensure all required declarations and authorities are completed.
