Overview

Supply and delivery of branded outdoor parasols. Open national tender issued by Machakos County Government for branded outdoor parasols (tender no. GMC/TITIGSW/OT/02/2026-2027). Open to qualified Kenyan bidders, including individuals, private firms or joint ventures, subject to compliance with anti-corruption, eligibility and tax requirements. Requirements

• Eligibility: not public officers; not debarred; no conflict of interest; JV members jointly and severally liable if a JV.
• Tax compliance: current tax clearance certificate or exemption (Kenya) as applicable.
• Tender security: KSh 110,000 (Tenders must be accompanied by a security or equivalent; see TDS). Performance security of 5% of awarded contract value upon award.
• Goods and supplier qualifications: manufacturer authorization if the tenderer does not manufacture the goods; evidence of conformity to specifications; ability to supply and provide after-sales support.
• Documentation: Form of Tender, Price Schedules, Joint Venture agreement if applicable, and all qualifying documents as specified in the tender.
• Additional requirements: compliance with anti-corruption and competitive practices; usual ITT/section requirements (origin of goods, etc.).

How to Apply

• Deadline: completed tenders must be hand-delivered to the Department of Trade and SME Development by 5 October 2026, 11:00 (document specifies in-person submission; electronic submissions not permitted) (TENDER DOCUMENT; ADVERT).
• Submission method: hand-delivery to Machakos County Government, with original and copy; serialise pages; submit in plain sealed envelopes clearly marked with tender number/name (ADVERT).
