Overview

Supply and delivery of branded safety vests and overalls for period up to 30 June 2029. Drakenstein Municipality invites bids from suppliers in PPE/apparel manufacturing and distribution to supply branded safety vests and overalls, under an open-tender process (TSPM 04/2026) for a period to 30 June 2029. The tender is open to vendors with appropriate safety-wear and branding capabilities and relevant certifications.

Requirements

• Bidders must be registered on Drakenstein Municipality’s supplier database.
• Compliance with tax status requirements as per MBD 1 (Part B). No contract awarded to non-compliant bidders.
• Bids must be submitted on the bid documentation provided, in a sealed envelope clearly marked with the bid number, and deposited before closing time.
• The tender includes general GCC and special bidding conditions, and relevant specifications.
• Samples must be provided for all items offered; samples delivered separately to the Market Street Building for attention of the Engineering Services team before closing.
• Bids must remain valid for at least 180 days after bid closing.
• Procurement will follow the 80/20 Preferential Procurement System (PPP) and the municipality’s policies; responsiveness criteria apply.

How to Apply

• Obtain tender documentation from Civil Engineering Services (1 Market Street, 2nd Floor, Paarl). Electronic copies can be requested from Angelique.Manuel@drakenstein.gov.za (document: TSPM 04-2026_Tender Advertisement.pdf).
• If collecting hard copies, a non-refundable fee of R450.00 is payable (office hours 08:30–15:00 from 3 Sept 2026). No fee for electronic requests.
• Provide samples for all items; deliver separately to Market Street Building, 3rd floor, Engineering Services, attention to Angelique Manuel and Gwen Gobelo, by closing.
• Prepare bid documents and ensure validity for a minimum of 180 days after tenders closing (document: TSPM 04-2026_Tender Advertisement.pdf).
• Submit bids in a sealed envelope clearly marked with the bid number, depositing into Tender Box 1, Civic Centre, Berg River Boulevard, Paarl, 7620. Box hours: Mon–Thu 08:00–16:45; Fri 08:00–15:30.
• Closing: 22 September 2026 at 10:00; bids opened publicly at 10:15 in the Civic Centre (document: TSPM 04-2026_Tender Advertisement.pdf). Late, telex, email or other non-conforming submissions will not be accepted.
