Procurement of Bronze, brass & Carbon graphite substrates materials for iThemba LABS; suppliers with metallurgical substrate capabilities should bid. Suitable bidders: material manufacturers or distributors of bronze discs (Cu-Sn), brass discs (Zn-Cu) and carbon-graphite substrate blanks, able to meet exact dimensions and surface finishes; must be on the Central Supplier Database and tax-compliant; able to provide datasheets and meet PPPFA/BBEE requirements.

Requirements

• Technical specs: 0.25 inch bronze disc (Cu0.88Sn0.12), 0.25 inch brass disc (Zn0.4Cu0.6), and 12x12x0.5–1.0 mm carbon-graphite substrates; purity ≥99.9%; polished surfaces; suitable for thin-film deposition and ion-beam applications.
• Quantity: 1 bronze disc, 1 brass disc, 20 carbon-graphite substrates; delivery as specified.
• Compliance: CSD registration; tax compliance PIN; B-BBEE or sworn affidavit if claiming goals.
• Documentation: SBD 4 (Bidder disclosure), SBD 6.1 (Preference Points); product datasheets/technical literature meeting minimum specs; pricing schedule; CSD summary.
• Commercial: prices inclusive of VAT; price valid for at least 60 days from closing date; firm delivery period; payments terms 30 days from invoice; advance payments require a payment guarantee.
• Evaluation: administrative compliance, functionality, price and B-BBEE (80/20 weighting); PPPFA 2022 regulations apply.
