Supply and Delivery of Canteen Consumables for Five YearsClosed

Overview

This tender is for the supply and delivery of canteen consumables for five years. It is an open UUW procurement; bidders should have experience supplying canteen consumables and the capacity to perform over a five-year contract, with appropriate CIDB, BBBEE, tax and registration compliance.

Requirements

• Mandatory briefing attended by all bidders (9 June 2026, 10:00; 07 Portland Road, Mkhondeni) (see Download Tender Document).
• Submit with SBD forms and returnable documents; SBD 4 Bidder’s Disclosure completed.
• Contract Participation Goals (CPG) declarations; 35% total CPG with 25% from UUW area and 10% local; evidence required (preferences scoring 20 points).
• Evidence of relevant experience: 2–4 client references; scoring 100 points for references (2=50, 3=60, 4=70; more references up to 100).
• Consortium requirements: lead member signs on behalf of consortium; include consortium/joint-venture agreement; BBBEE certificates for CPG where applicable.
• Registrations and certifications: CSD registration, VAT number, supplier status; BBBEE status or sworn affidavit; tax status in RSA; CIDB as applicable.
• Insurance: Public Liability minimum R10,000,000 for the contract period.
• Pricing and submission: English format; pricing per SBD 3.1; original tender plus one USB copy; no fax/email submissions.
• Compliance with CIDB Standard Conditions of Tender and general requirements; no corrupt practices; confidential handling of information.

How to Apply

• Obtain tender documents from UUW via e-tenders or uuww website (see Download Tender Document).
• Collect documents 22 May–08 June 2026; compulsory briefing 09 June 2026; bring bid documents to briefing for signing (no issue of documents at briefing) (see Download Tender Document).
• Prepare: original proposal + one USB; ensure lead partner or authorised signatories for sole/joint ventures; include SBD 4, BBBEE evidence, pricing schedules, CPD declarations, and Consortium agreement if applicable.
• Submit: in hard copy to the Tender Box at 310 Burger Street, Pietermaritzburg; by 25 June 2026 at 12:00. Late submissions not accepted.
• Submissions may be accompanied by addenda; ensure receipt of all addenda; questions/clarifications handled per document.
