Overview

Supply and delivery of concrete admixtures for urgent works for apron for Clanwilliam Dam in the Western Cape. Bidders should be suppliers of concrete admixtures with ability to meet technical specs, provide MSDS/technical data sheets, and satisfy SARS tax compliance, Central Supplier Database registration, CIPC status, and B-BBEE requirements, plus the contract’s administrative and procurement rules.

Requirements

• Central Supplier Database (CSD) registration or provide CSD/PIN status; tax compliance (SARS PIN) or SARS tax clearance; active CIPC registration; B-BBEE Status Verification (certificate).
• Authority to sign bid (board resolution or equivalent).
• If a joint venture/consortium, each party must submit separate Tax Compliance Status (TCS) or CSD details.
• If not the manufacturer, letter from the actual supplier confirming firm supply arrangements.
• For each admixture type: technical data sheets/MSDS with trade name, source, dosage, dosage safety, and chloride content; proposed dosage control method.
• Complete and submit SBD 1 (Invitation to Bid), SBD 4 (Declaration of Interest), SBD 6.1 (Preference Regulations), plus SBD 3.1 and the Pricing Schedule.
• Documentation showing the bid price will reflect the required scope and that the bidder can supply concrete admixtures meeting the specifications. Documentation of 12-month warranty expectations is part of general contract, not bid qualification.

How to Apply

• Deadline: 16 July 2026 at 11:00.
• Submission: original bid in a sealed envelope to the Bid Box at the Clanwilliam Dam site entrance (Construction South). Bids may also be submitted electronically to danielst@dws.gov.za. Detailing in the attached document (WTE-0533 CS - Concrete Additives.pdf).
• Documents to submit (if applicable): official SBD forms including SBD1, SBD4, SBD6.1, SBD3.1 and the Pricing Schedule; technical data sheets for each admixture.
• Documentation/registrations: CSD number or SARS TCS PIN; SARS tax clearance; active CIPC registration; valid B-BBEE certificate or QSE/EME affidavits as applicable.
