Overview

Procurement of supply and delivery of dry food and spices for the Railway Training Institute and NCS Restaurant under a Framework Agreement for three years, reserved for special group. Eligible bidders are specialists in food items, registered as Special Group with the National Treasury; may bid for one or more lots; Kenya Railways aims to have at least seven alternative vendors.

Requirements

• Eligibility and compliance with Public Procurement and Asset Disposal Act; no debarment; no conflicts of interest; JV rules apply; avoid collusive or corrupt practices; submission includes independent tender determination.
• Tender documents and qualifications: Form of Tender; Price Schedules; Tender Security or Tender-Securing Declaration; JV agreement or letter of intent; Manufacturer Authorization if applicable; tax clearance; evidence of eligibility and conformity to Schedule of Requirements.
• Goods/participation: open to Special Group; sourcing/quoting rules per ITT (including origin and conformity) and, where applicable, Kenya-origin sourcing for certain items.

• Submission method: hard-copy tenders to Kenya Railways Tender Box, Block C Reception; electronic submissions not permitted.
• Documents to submit: Form of Tender and Price Schedules; Tender Security or Declaration; JV documents if applicable; Manufacturer Authorization; tax clearance; eligibility/conformity evidence; any other documents per the Tender Data Sheet (TDS).
