Overview

The tender is for the supply and delivery of electrical stock items for a 36-month period to Abaqulusi Local Municipality. It targets electrical suppliers/distributors capable of supplying items such as glands, line taps, ferrules, meters, transformers, substations and related stock, with requirements for CSD registration, tax compliance, BBBEE, and SABS certification.

Requirements

• Must be registered on the Central Supplier Database (CSD) and provide a CSD number; non-compliant bidders are ineligible.
• Tax compliance: SARS PIN or valid Tax Clearance; original certificate required with bid.
• Minimum statutory/qualification documents: proof of bid document payment, CSD report, valid company registration, BBBEE certificate (or sworn affidavit), and proof of physical/electricity bill or lease.
• SABS certification and certified copies of directors/owners’ IDs.
• Bid documents must be fully completed (MBDs) and submitted in sealed envelope; no awards to state officials or persons in the service of the state.
• Foreign bidders must complete the pre-award questionnaire; consortia must submit separate TCS/CSD for each party.

How to Apply

• Submission deadline: 16 September 2026 at 12:00; late bids not accepted.
• Submission method: sealed bid in the official forms or online; deposit in the bid box at ground floor, Abaqulusi Municipality, Corner of High Street and Mark Street, Vryheid 3100.
• Documents to submit (MBDs): MBD 2, MBD 3.1 (Pricing Schedule), MBD 4 (Declaration of Interest), MBD 6.1 (Preference Points), MBD 7.1 (Form of Offer/Acceptance), MBD 8 (Past SCM Practices), MBD 9 (Certificate of Independent Bid Determination); include GCC and any contract schedules.
• Registrations/pre-qualifications: CSD registration, SARS Tax Clearance/PIN, BBBEE certificate; SABS certificate.
