Overview

Supply and delivery of electrification cable at Bhekumthetho. Abaqulusi Local Municipality invites bids from electrical cable suppliers/contractors to supply a (ACSR Mink Conductor) electrification cable and deliver to Bhekumthetho, with CIDB grading 1 or higher and relevant compliance.

Requirements

• CIDB grading 1 or higher.
• Tax/compliance: SARS PIN or Tax Clearance certificate; VAT status; and CSD registration where applicable.
• Central Supplier Database: detailed CSD registration report to claim special goals.
• Proof of bid documents payment; valid company registration; water/electricity bill or lease not older than 3 months; reference letters.
• BBBEE: certified copy of BBEE certificate or sworn affidavit.
• Audited financials: if contract value exceeds R10 million.
• No bids from persons in the state’s service.

How to Apply

• Download the bid documents from the E-tender Portal (from 19 August 2026) (document reference).
• Submit a sealed bid in the required official forms; deposit to the bid box at Ground Floor, Abaqulusi Local Municipality, Corner High Street and Mark Street, Vryheid 3100, by 02 September 2026, 12:00.
• Bid documents must include: Proof of payment for bid documents (R2000) and administration fee (R1500), MBD forms (MBD2, MBD4, MBD6.1, MBD7.1/7.2, MBD8, MBD9), Tax Clearance, CSD details, BBBEE, company registration, and proof of experience.
• Evaluation uses 80/20 (price 80, specific goals 20); price/goal specifics depend on the system chosen.
