SUPPLY AND DELIVERY OF ERGONOMIC CHAIRS

Overview

Supply and delivery of ergonomic chairs for the Eastern Cape Office of the Premier, including trial showroom fitting and ergonomic assessments. Bidders should have experience in office furniture supply and seating ergonomics, with ability to provide showroom trials and on-site fitting demonstrations.

Requirements

• Supplier must arrange a trial/showroom fitting with the client seated at their desk height for 20–30 minutes before purchase.
• Ergonomic fit checks required: feet flat, 2-3 finger gap behind knee, elbows near 90 degrees with arms supported, backrest contacting the mid-screen top at eye level.
• Post-purchase review at 4–6 weeks to assess sitting tolerance, hip locking, neck pain and headaches (with necessary adjustments).
