Overview

The procurement is for the supply and delivery of fertilizer to Bergrivier Municipality from date of appointment until 30 June 2027. Bidders should be fertilizer suppliers with delivery capacity to Bergrivier Stores in Piketberg, and be compliant with CSD registration, SARS Tax Compliance, BBBEE, and SCM requirements; pricing must be fixed and VAT inclusive.

Requirements

• Registration on National Treasury Central Supplier Database (CSD) and provide the CSD number (MAAA…) and Tax Compliance Status PIN or tax clearance (TCS/PIN) (see FQ 8/2/51-2026 MN218-2026).
• Submit an original B-BBEE Status Level Verification Certificate or sworn affidavit; score points if compliant (SANAS/verification acceptable).
• Complete and sign mandatory bidding forms and documents (e.g., MBD 1, MBD 4, MBD 6.1, MBD 7.1 contract form) and submit the fixed pricing schedule; include pricing with VAT.
• Provide three references for supply and delivery of fertilizer within the last four years, plus attach recent municipal accounts for company and directors.
• No quotes from persons in the service of the state; late/faxed/electronic submissions not accepted; bid validity to be 120 days (per the document). Prices must be fixed and delivery terms as specified.

How to Apply

• Obtain bid documents from www.bergmun.org.za or in hard copy from Mr. Coellin Julius (R70 fee) during normal office hours; see FQ 8/2/51-2026 MN218-2026.
• Submit sealed Quotations in the bid box at Bergrivier Municipality, 13 Kerk Street, Piketberg (or as stated in the document) before 12:00 on Friday, 25 September 2026; quotations will be opened in public (see FQ 8/2/51-2026 MN218-2026; Page 2).
• Include: completed forms (MBD suite), Pricing Schedule (FQ 8/2/51-2026, Page 12-14), Tax clearance or TCS Pin, CSD number, BBBEE certificate, and three fertilizer reference letters with contact details (see Pricing Schedule page 14).
• Ensure VAT inclusive prices and fixed delivery terms; delivery must be within four weeks of order; no part-load charges.
• No quotations from persons in the service of the state; adhere to SCM policy and GCC.
