Overview

Prequalification and tendering for the supply and delivery of foodstuffs to Bungoma County for 2026–2028, using National Competitive Bidding. Eligible bidders may be suppliers of cereals, proteins (plant and animal), vegetables, fruits, and related goods who can demonstrate financial capacity, compliance with Kenyan procurement laws, and suitable experience.

Requirements

• Eligibility, integrity, and anti-corruption compliance (no PPRA debarment; no conflict of interest; Joint Venture rules; nationality rules).
• Tax and registration: valid Tax Compliance Certificate, PIN/VAT certificate, business registration, and trading license.
• Financial capacity: demonstrated liquidity/credit lines, audited statements for the required period, and minimum average annual turnover as specified.
• Experience: evidence of relevant contracts in the last years; substantial completion threshold (80%); proper qualifications for any proposed subcontractors.
• Documentation: prequalification documents must be English, serialized, and include completed forms (Eligibility, Qualifications) and company profile; disclose any commissions or fees as applicable.
• Subcontracting: ability to propose Specialized Subcontractors where permitted; JV members’ qualifications considered for their share.
• Compliance: adherence to anti-fraud, anti-collusion, and cross-border procurement rules; PPRA inspection rights.
