Overview

RFQ for the supply and delivery of fresh bakery goods for 4 months to Ushaka Marine World. Bidders should be capable of providing a range of bakery items (e.g., breads, buns, rolls, koeksisters, scones, biscuits) with refrigerated delivery, for a 4-month fixed-price arrangement. Eligible bidders must be on the Central Supplier Database (CSD) and EThekwini Supplier Portal, and meet tax/compliance requirements.

Requirements

• Registered on Central Supplier Database (CSD) and EThekwini Supplier Portal; in good standing with SARS.
• Submit tax clearance or SARS PIN/TCS status (and PIN if applicable); separate TCS for joint ventures/consortiums.
• Fully completed MBD forms (MBD1, MBD4, MBD6.1, MBD8, MBD9) and pricing schedules; offer on company letterhead.
• Refrigerated delivery vehicle: signed confirmation on company letterhead.
• Bid documents submitted on official forms/letterhead; sealed and numbered envelopes.
• Delivery within 48 hours after PO; pricing fixed for 4 months.
• Compulsory admin requirements (e.g., MBDs, CSD proof) must be satisfied (attached as dg-385.pdf).

Optional/Additional (not mandatory but beneficial):

• BBBEE certificate, SARS TCS PIN, JV/consortium agreements (if applicable).

• Submit to: tender box at the Guest Information Centre, 1 King Shaka Avenue, Ushaka Marine, Durban 4000 (sealed, numbered envelopes).
• Documents to submit: MBD forms (1, 4, 6.1, 8, 9), pricing schedules, SARS/CSD documentation, Refrigerated Delivery Vehicle letter, company letterhead, and other bidding documents listed in the RFQ.
• Pre-qualifications/registrations: CSD, SARS TCS PIN (where applicable); isolate separate TCS for consortiums/joint ventures.
• Briefing session: not applicable (compulsory site briefing indicated as N/A in the RFQ).
