Supply and delivery of Gelatin capsules to iThemba LABS, Cape TownClosed

Overview

The RFQ seeks the supply and delivery of empty gelatin capsules to iThemba LABS, Cape Town. Bidders should be GMP-compliant capsule manufacturers/suppliers capable of Capsule Size 1, hard gelatin capsules (pharmaceutical grade) and able to supply 125,000 units to the Western Cape, with full QA documentation and compliance (CSD, tax, BBBEE).

Requirements

• Capsule specifications: Size 1, hard gelatin, pharmaceutical grade, weight 69.3–84.7 mg, internal capacity 0.4 g, disintegration within 15 minutes in 0.01 M HCl at 37°C, pre-lock feature, cap/body dimensions as per spec, 125 000 units.
• Documentation and certifications: GMP certificate; Site Master File; Quality Manual; Certificate of Analysis; Safety Data Sheet; TSE and GMO declarations; willingness to enter a Quality Agreement with iThemba LABS.
• Compliance and pre-qualification: Registration on the Central Supplier Database (CSD); tax clearance status; B-BBEE certificate or sworn affidavit; SBD 4 and SBD 6.1 completed; product datasheets/technical literature meeting minimum RFQ specs.
• Procurement rules: PPPFA 80/20; price valid for 60 days; VAT-inclusive pricing; delivery lead time to be stated.

• Documents to submit: Pricing Schedule (page 6 of the RFQ), SBD 4, SBD 6.1, product datasheets, GMP/QA certificates, Site Master File, Quality Manual, Safety Data Sheet, TSE/GMO declarations, CSD Summary Report, BBBEE certificate or sworn affidavit.
• Registrations and pre-qualifications: CSD registration is compulsory; provide CSD Supplier Number and tax-compliance status.
• Delivery details and notes: Delivery address is iThemba LABS, Old Faure Road, Faure, 7131; lead time for delivery to be indicated; payment terms are 30 days from receipt of invoice; consider the 80/20 evaluation (price vs. BBEE).
