Overview

Procurement of supply and delivery of head of works panels for screens and compactors. Open to electrical panel manufacturers/suppliers with MCC/control panel experience, capable of delivering 2mm 3CR12 stainless steel IP65 enclosures, painted orange, with proper labelling and wiring. Bidders must be registered on CSD, hold a valid tax clearance, BBBEE certificate, and meet the mandatory administrative/technical criteria outlined in the RFQ.

Requirements

• Mandatory qualifications and documents (from RFQ documents):
  • Original valid Tax Clearance, BBBEE certificate or sworn affidavit, municipal rates not in arrears (>90 days), PDF submissions on company letterhead, and Joint Venture agreements if applicable.
  • Complete BOQ/Specification, attachments of datasheets, reference letters, certifications.
  • No quotes from the service of the state; not blacklisted; CSD supplier number; MBD 4, 6.1, 8, 9; company registration docs with director IDs; POPIA consents.
• Technical specifications (from attached spec):
  • Enclosures: 2mm thick, 3CR12 stainless steel, IP65, canopy, orange (B26) finish.
  • Doors: neoprene gasket, multiple hinges/latches, lockable.
  • Cable entry bottom, HDG gland plate, labelling per SANS 10142-1.
  • Wiring: silicone insulated control wiring, SANS 1507/1411, voltage ratings 600/1000V.
  • MCCB features, trunking, no joints/splices, accessible terminals, proper separation of power/PLC terminals.
  • Bill of Materials for: Screening Compactor panels (outdoor, inner doors), Mechanical Screen panels, pedestals (stainless 3CR12, orange), bolts, engineering, QC/ FAT.
  • Motor ratings: 1.1 kW (screening), 2.2 kW (mechanical screen).
• Evaluation: 80/20 price/quality (PPPFA 2022), 60-day RFQ validity, 60 days; CSD and other admin requirements apply.

How to Apply

• Submissions must be made on the E-tender Portal: https://www.etenders.gov.za/ (RFQ reference RFQJW024NS26-27) (RFQ details in attached documents).
• Key steps:
  • Ensure quotes are on company letterhead, in PDF, with all attached MBD forms and BOQ.
  • Prepare Pricing Schedule using MBD 3.1; complete 60-day validity; include all taxes.
  • Register on CSD and include supplier number; attach BBBEE, tax clearance, rates notice, MBDs 4/6.1/8/9, and company docs.
  • Upload engineering drawings/GA/SLD and FAT/QC documentation as specified.
  • No compulsory site briefing session; site visits require safety shoes and reflective jackets.
