Overview

Procurement of the supply and delivery of galvanised IBR roof sheets and related materials to Midmar Dam (Howick) and Hluhluwe Dam (Hluhluwe). Firms supplying roofing materials, galvanized IBR sheets, associated fittings, and ancillary components should bid. Eligible bidders must demonstrate capability in roofing supply, comply with South African public tender requirements, and meet admin, technical, and local-content criteria (see attached documents: WTE-2631ES.pdf).

Requirements

• Compulsory briefing attendance; complete the BOQ and pricing schedule; provide data sheets and samples; supply brochures and padlock/membrane specs as specified; and comply with all Phase 2 functional criteria (see WTE-2631ES.pdf).
• Administrative compliance: registration on the Central Supplier Database (CSD), SARS tax clearance (PIN), active CIPC registration, and a valid BBBEE status (certificate or sworn affidavit); sign the tender data and authority to sign; submit SBD1, SBD3.1, SBD4, SBD6.1 and local-content annexures (guidelines also in guidelines for local content.pdf).
• Local content and designations: complete SATS 1286:2011 Annex C, D, and E declarations; calculated local content per item and tender totals (illustrated in Annexures C–E templates in Annexure spreadsheets). Refer to the dtic guidance on designated sectors for local-content thresholds (e.g., buses) when applicable (DTI Industrial Procurement doc).

• Submission deadline: 21 October 2026 at 11:00. Submit to the Water and Sanitation SCM Office or deposit in the bid box at the Midmar Dam entrance (WTE-2631ES.pdf).
• Briefing: compulsory briefing on 9 October 2026 at 10:00, Midmar Dam Civil workshop (WTE-2631ES.pdf).
• Submission method and documents: Original bid and supporting documents sealed in an envelope; submit SBD1, SBD3.1, SBD4, SBD6.1 and Annexures C/D/E; BOQ; pricing schedule; and company documents (CK/CIPC, tax clearance, BBBEE, CSD, etc.) (WTE-2631ES.pdf; T1.3).
• Deliverable samples and data: provide galvanised IBR roof sheet samples (0.58mm) and data sheets; undertile membranes; galvanized lip channels; multi-lock padlocks; brochures; and any other specified appendices (T1.2–T1.3; Annexures C–D; WTE-2631ES.pdf).
