Overview

Supply and delivery of laboratory equipment for scientific services to Amatola Water, including water purification systems, spectrophotometer, autoclave, incubators, pH meters, water bath, refrigerators and related accessories. Eligible bidders are suppliers of laboratory equipment with installation, commissioning and after-sales service capabilities, and must meet registrations and compliance requirements (CSD, SARS Tax Compliance PIN/TCS, VAT handling, and related pre-qualifications) as specified in the RFQ documents.

Requirements

• Online bid submission via Amatola Water website by the stipulated closing time; late submissions are not accepted.
• Returnable documents and forms: FORM A, FORM B, FORM B.1, FORM B.2, SBD 1, SBD 4, SBD 6.1, JV agreement if applicable, plus pricing forms (SBD 3.1, SBD 7.1).
• Tax and supplier registrations: Tax Compliance Status PIN (TCS) or CSD number; VAT treatment; ensure compliance prior to award.
• Evidence of experience: Schedule of previous related contracts (Forms B, B.1, B.2) with stamped confirmations from clients.
• Joint ventures: If applicable, JV agreement detailing management, profit sharing, banking details, and board resolutions; tax clearance for all parties.
• Technical/commercial compliance: Submit a line-by-line compliance statement to the specification, include installation/commissioning, spares, warranties, and after-sales support; items must meet the detailed water testing equipment/specifications (e.g., water purification system, spectrophotometer, autoclave, incubators, pH meter, water bath, refrigerator).
• Delivery and installation: Delivery to Amatola Water, Nahoon Dam (Chemistry and Micro Lab); installation and commissioning by the supplier; warranty and post-delivery service provisions (2-year warranty plus maintenance support).

• Documents to submit: All official bid documents on the RFQ, including SBD forms, Form A, B, B.1, B.2, SBD 4, SBD 6.1, SBD 3.1 (Pricing Schedule – Firm Prices), and SBD 7.1 (Contract Form).
• Registrations/pre-qualifications: Ensure tax, SARS PIN, CSD number (or VAT treatment) are provided; ensure registration on Central Supplier Database where required.
• Where to obtain documents: RFQ documents and bidding instructions are available on Amatola Water’s website; the RFQ documents (Tender Document) contain all specifications and returnable schedules. (Tender Document)
• Additional notes: Ensure two copies of operating manuals and full spares/consumables lists; include installation/commissioning plan and evidence of after-sales support. Delivery and acceptance terms align with the Nahoon Dam site requirements.
