Overview

The Procuring Entity seeks the supply and delivery of maintenance parts for plant and equipment. This is an open national tender by Nairobi City County Government. Suitable bidders are suppliers of maintenance parts with capacity to deliver parts and related services, meeting Kenyan public procurement rules (eligibility, anti-corruption, etc.).

Requirements

• Eligible Tenderers: compliance with ITT3 (JV rules, conflict of interest, debarment) and anti-corruption provisions.
• Manufacturer’s Authorization: if not manufacturing the goods, provide authorization to supply from the manufacturer.
• Tax Compliance: Kenyan bidders must provide a current tax clearance certificate.
• Tender Security: provide either a Tender-Securing Declaration or a Tender Security in the required form and amount.
• Goods Eligibility and Conformity: demonstrate origin and conformity to Schedule of Requirements; include spare parts availability and standards compliance.
• JV Provisions: if a joint venture is formed, include JV agreement or signed letter of intent and designate a representative; JV exemptions may apply.

How to Apply

• Obtain documents: from the PPIP portal (www.tenders.go.ke) or Nairobi City County; documents downloaded free; submitter to share details via nairobiprocurement@gmail.com (see attached document SUPPLY AND DELIVERY OF MAINTENANCE PARTS FOR PLANT AND EQUIPMENT).
• Documents to submit: Form of Tender; Price Schedules (Section IV); Tender Security or Declaration; Manufacturer Authorization (if required); JV Agreement or Letter of Intent (if JV); Tax Clearance; evidence of eligibility and conformity (Section III and VII) (see Section IV for forms).

• Submission: physically in the Tender Box at Mama Ngina Street, City Hall 4th Floor Room 400; one original and a copy; sealed envelopes with “ORIGINAL” and “COPIES”; or submit electronically if allowed by the TDS.
• Processing details: tenders opened publicly after deadline; capacity-building levy of 0.03% of contract value must be quoted.
