Overview

Supply and delivery of new tyres for various vehicle categories for a period of 36 months. Open to tyre manufacturers with SA production facilities or authorized distributors/agents. Bidders must be registered on the National Treasury Central Supplier Database (CSD) and on the eThekwini vendor portal, and comply with ISO 9001 and ISO 10191 where applicable. Requirements

• Compulsory Clarification Meeting: 17 June 2026 at 10:00 via MS Teams; email attendance by 15 June; link distributed 17 June. All questions answered by 2 July. (32350-1J Tender Document)
• Local/Import tyre eligibility: only Original Tyre Manufacturers with SA facilities for local tyres; authorised distributors/accredited OEMs for import tyres; provide proof of plant address and OEM accreditation. (SCT 14)
• Quality and standards: ISO 9001; ISO 10191 laboratory test standards for tyres. (SCT 14)
• Compliance documents: Tax Clearance or Tax Compliance Status PIN; Central Supplier Database (CSD) registration; eThekwini supplier database registration; MBD 4, 5, 6.1, 8, 9; Authority of Signatory; Declaration of Municipal Fees; Occupational Health & Safety declaration. (Section 4)
• OH&S: Service provider must acknowledge OHS responsibilities and provide a Health and Safety File and risk assessments if required. (37.2 Agreement)
