Overview

Procurement of brand-new office furniture (desks and chairs) for ARC Arcadia campus, including delivery and on-site assembly. Scope covers 48 desks and 48 high-back swivel chairs, delivered to ARC Institute: Soil, Climate and Water, Pretoria. RFQ ISC01REQ003521, closing 10 July 2026.

Requirements

• Bidders must be registered on the Central Supplier Database (CSD) and include the CSD number and full CSD report.
• Must submit fully signed Standard Bidding Documents (SBDs), valid tax PIN, valid BBBEE certificate, and other mandatory documents.
• Specific goals for preferential scoring must be claimed with supporting documentation (HDI ownership, Women, Youth, PwD, BEE status, RDP/SMME goals) to earn up to 20 points.
• Goods must be brand-new; delivery and assembly to ARC Arcadia; 4 weeks delivery after appointment; replacement for transit damage; prompt after-sales support.
• Warranty and product life: five-year furniture warranty letter; furniture expected to have an 8–12 year lifespan; reference letters may be required.
• Price evaluation uses a points system with Price = 80 points and Specific Goals = 20 points; lowest price typically scores highest under the system.
• Quotes must be on official letterhead, include delivery date, and be compliant with National Treasury conditions and ARC procurement code.

How to Apply

• Prepare and submit via email to MtungwaF@arc.agric.za (RFQ document indicates submission to this address; see RFQ “Office Furniture” documents).
• Include: fully signed SBDs, valid tax pin, BBBEE, CSD registration number and report, and all mandatory documents referenced in the RFQ.
• Include Annexure A specifications (office workstation desks and high-back chairs, 48 of each) and any required five-year warranty letter plus two client reference letters (manufacturing/supply of furniture) as per Annexure A.
• Delivery details: ARC Arcadia (600 Belvedere Street, Pretoria); confirm delivery within 4 weeks of appointment.
