Overview

Machakos County Government seeks framework agreements for the supply and delivery of Pharmaceuticals over two years. Open to all qualified suppliers, including SMEs, for a two-year framework on an as-needed basis.

• Target bidders: pharmaceutical distributors/manufacturers, authorized distributors, and firms capable of supply and compliance with Kenyan health-sector standards.

• Scope and format: framework agreements for supply and delivery of pharmaceuticals (as and when required) for 2026–2028.

Requirements

• Compliance with Public Procurement and Asset Disposal Act, 2015; anti-corruption declarations; no debarment by PPRA; no conflicts of interest; no collusive practices.
• Eligibility: bidders must be legally capable, not public officers, and compliant with JV provisions if applicable.
• Tax and registrations: current tax clearance certificate; applicable Kenyan registrations as required; supplier/manufacturer authorizations if not manufacturing the goods.
• Origin and conformity: items must meet origin declarations; eligibility of goods and conformity to technical specifications; where applicable, goods sourced from Kenya for listed categories.
• Documentation: Form of Tender, Price Schedules, Tender Security or declaration, JV agreements (if any), Manufacturer Authorization (if required), and evidence of qualifications.
• Tender validity and pricing: prices in Kenyan shillings; fixed price terms unless the TDS specifies adjustments; multiple lots rules as per the TDS.

How to Apply

• Obtain documents: free from Machakos website or tenders portal (see attached documents).
• Deadline: closing date 21 July 2026 at 11:00 AM. Electronic submissions are not allowed.
• Submission: to the Tender Box, Ground Floor, Machakos County Headquarters, marked with Tender No. and name; inside, place ORIGINAL and COPIES (and additional envelopes for alternatives if permitted).
• Opening: bids opened publicly after the deadline in the Laboratory Boardroom, Machakos Level 5 Hospital, with tenderers’ representatives present.
• Required steps/information: complete tender forms, price schedules, and all listed qualifications and eligibility materials; respond to any clarification requests within the period specified in the TDS.
