Overview

The South African Weather Service seeks to procure the supply and delivery of power tools for the Air Quality workshop at Irene Weather Office. Bidders with experience supplying industrial power tools, capable of delivering the 11 listed items and meeting SAWS procurement requirements (CSD registration, tax compliance, BBBEE), are invited. The scope includes items such as Cut-Off Saw, Pedestal Drill, Jigsaw, Hot Air Gun, various grinders, drills, and related accessories per Annexure H.

Requirements

• Complete and submit all required bid documents, including Annexure A, SBD 3.1 (Pricing Schedule), SBD 4 (Bidder’s Declaration), SBD 6.1 (Preference Points), and POPIA Supplier Consent.
• Tax and supplier status: provide SARS Tax Compliance PIN or TCS certificate; if applicable, CSD registration number; BBBEE status certificate or sworn affidavit.
• Technical compliance: provide brochures/specifications for every listed power tool; where specs are not available, provide written confirmation of compliance (Annexure H).
• Phase 1/2 mandatory: supply evidence of CSD/GCC-related compliance and complete technical compliance templates for each item (Yes/No per item).
• Delivery/operational readiness: service provider must have approved operational premises and infrastructure; SAWS may conduct due diligence/site visits.
• Delivery address: Irene Weather Office, Main Road Irene, Gauteng; include delivery costs in pricing.
• Evaluation: 3 phases—SCM compliance, technical compliance, then price and specific goals (80/20 points system; BBBEE relevant).

  • SARS/TAX compliance proof or TCS/PIN; CSD number if no TCS.
  • BBBEE certificate or sworn affidavit for points claimed.
