Overview

Procurement of protective clothing and related PPE for a 36-month period to Abaqulusi Local Municipality. Suitable bidders are PPE manufacturers/distributors with capabilities to supply and deliver a full range of protective clothing, compliant with SA standards. Required qualifications include tax clearance and supplier registrations, BBBEE documentation, and SABS certification for protective clothing (see attached tender doc).

Requirements

• Minimum documents to attach: proof of payment for the bid document, Central Supplier Database (CSD) registration, valid company registration, SARS PIN or Tax Clearance, BBBEE certificate (or sworn affidavit), current municipal rates/lease proof, certified IDs of directors/owners, and SABS certificate for protective clothing.
• Tax/AML: Tax clearance or PIN (SARS eFiling allowed); separate TCS for joint ventures or sub-contractors; CSD number if no TCS.
• Eligibility checks: no awards to state employees or persons in the service of the state; must be on the Municipal Data Base; compliance with MFMA/PPF rules.
• Pricing: firm prices inclusive of VAT; pricing must cover all delivery costs; 90-day bid validity noted in the docs; 36-month supply commitment.
• Evaluation: 80/20 preference system (price 80, specific goals 20); specific goals include HDI/ Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment targets.

How to Apply

• Deadline: submit by 16 September 2026 at 12:00.
