Overview

RFQ for the supply and delivery of radar level sensors to Johannesburg Water (20 units). Open to suppliers of radar level sensing instrumentation and related industrial automation who can meet the specified datasheet (2-wire, 11–30 V DC, 4–20 mA/HART, IP68, ±5 mm, 70–100 GHz, 0–20 m, BT remote setup) and deliver 20 units.

Requirements

• Complete the BOQ/specification and attach the mandatory datasheet.
• Ensure the bidder is not in the state’s service, not blacklisted, and submits on company letterhead as a PDF.
• Provide Original Tax Clearance, BBBEE certificate or sworn affidavit, municipal rates statement not older than 90 days, and CSD supplier number.
• Complete and submit MBD forms: Declaration of Interest (MBD 4), Past SCM practices (MBD 8), Certificate of Independent Bid Determination (MBD 9), and Preference Points (MBD 6.1).
• If applicable, submit JV agreement signed by all parties.
• Provide evidence of lease or municipal account (not older than 3 months, not in arrears for more than 90 days).
• Ensure all delivery costs are included in the bid price and taxes are included.

• Submission deadline: 28 July 2026 at 16:00; submissions must be on the E-Tender Portal (no email submissions).
• Briefing: not applicable.
• Submissions must include: original tax clearance, BBBEE document, municipal rates, MBD forms, CSD registration, company registration documents, and the datasheet (attached to the RFQ). Pricing must be on the Firm Prices schedule (MBD 3.1) with total incl. taxes.
• Bid documents available via the E-tender portal and the issuer’s tender site; ensure PDFs only and use company letterhead.
• The bid will be evaluated under an 80/20 or 90/10 preference framework, with 60-day bid validity and VAT included in all totals.
