Overview

Procurement of the supply and delivery of rip rap materials for Riviersonderend GWS – Theewaterskloof Dam, Construction South in the Western Cape for DWS Construction South. Bidders should be quarry/supplier entities able to provide rip rap in the Western Cape, with compliance across tax, registration, and BBBEE requirements; must demonstrate a source within about 110 km of Villiersdorp and meet the technical specs.

Requirements

• Tax and supplier registration: SARS Tax Compliance Status (PIN) or SARS tax clearance; Central Supplier Database (CSD) registration; and valid tax/VAT status.
• Official bid forms: complete and sign SBD 1 (Invitation to Bid) and submit SBD 4, SBD 6.1, SBD 3.1, and SBD 7 as applicable.
• Bidder eligibility: no disqualifications for state employees; proof of authority to sign (board resolutions or authorisations).
• BBBEE and local goals: provide BBBEE verification or sworn affidavit (EME/QSE) and complete Annexures for ownership by women, people with disabilities, and youth; confirm Western Cape location (Annexure 2) and proof of premises if claimed.
• Source of Rip Rap: evidence of an agreement with the source quarry within 110 km of Villiersdorp or provide a company profile showing manufactured products or a supplier agreement with a financial institution as per the criteria in Phase 2.
• Technical readiness: ability to meet rip rap specifications; may be asked to submit samples within 5 days if requested (Phase 3).
• Delivery and financial terms: adherence to delivery schedules; payments by Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT).

• Submission method: sealed original bid with covering letter and supporting documents; hand delivery or postal submission as directed.
