Overview

Supply and delivery of salon equipment and car wash equipment for LED projects. Abaqulusi Local Municipality invites bids from service providers experienced in supplying salon and car wash equipment, with compliance to tax, supplier databases, and BBEE requirements.

Requirements

• Must be registered on the Central Supplier Database (CSD) and provide tax clearance or SARS PIN; comply with tax status checks.
• Minimum attachments: CSD report, valid company registration, SARS PIN or tax clearance, BBEE certificate (or sworn affidavit), audited annual financial statements if turnover exceeds R10 million, proof of relevant experience with references, certified current account for utilities (or lease), and certified IDs of directors/owners.
• Complete all Municipal Bidding Documents (MBDs) as required (e.g., MBD4, MBD6.1, MBD7.2, MBD8, MBD9) per the tender package (see TENDER DOCUMENT FOR SALON EQUIPMENT AND CAR WASH EQUIPMENT 8-2-1-615.pdf).
• No awards to persons in state service; declarations regarding potential conflicts of interest must be completed (MBD4).
• Evaluation includes price and specific goals (80/20 or 90/10 preference system; up to 20 points for specific goals such as HDI equity).
• Bidder must demonstrate independence from collusive practices (MBD9) and comply with SCM practices (MBD8).
• Provide a signed contract form (MBD7.2) if awarded.

How to Apply

• Submission deadline: 19 June 2026 at 12:00. Late bids are not accepted.
• Submit in a sealed envelope to the bid box at ground floor, Abaqulusi Local Municipality, corner of High Street and Mark Street, Vryheid 3100 (Tender Box details in documents).
• Bid documents must be completed on official forms (not re-typed) or submitted online (see 1.2 in the tender).
• Bid documents and bid response materials, including all MBD forms, must be included with the submission (see attached MBDs).
• Bid documents and self-downloaded tender packs are available from the E-tender Portal (www.e-tenders.gov.za) from 05 June 2026 (see filename: TENDER DOCUMENT FOR SALON EQUIPMENT AND CAR WASH EQUIPMENT 8-2-1-615.pdf).
• The municipality reserves the right to accept any bid or part thereof and is not bound to award the lowest bid.
