Overview

Procurement of spare parts and servicing/maintenance for eThekwini Municipality vehicles for 36 months. Open tender targeting OEMs or accredited agents with a local footprint; scope covers multiple vehicle makes and associated servicing (see 36376-1J Tender Document.pdf).

Requirements

• OEM accreditation: tenderers must be OEM or accredited agents with a valid accreditation letter; quote only for categories you are accredited for (Categories A–G).
• Registrations: must be registered on the National Treasury Central Supplier Database (CSD) with a MAAA number; also registered on the eThekwini supplier database; provide Tax Clearance or Tax Compliance PIN; VAT status as applicable.
• Returnable documents: Authority of Signatory; Tax Compliance Status PIN or Tax Clearance; Declaration of Municipal Fees; Occupational Health & Safety declaration; MBD 4, MBD 5 (if applicable), MBD 6.1, MBD 8, MBD 9; Official Tender Form (MBD 9) and any JV agreements if applicable.
• Sub-contracting: mandatory to meet sub-contracting requirements (~30% of contract value) to EMEs/QSEs owned by Black people; complete the 14.3 table and attach sub-contractor documents.
• Evaluation framework: compliant tenders evaluated on price and preferences (90/10 system); adhere to SCM and PPFA Regulations; minimum functionality as stated in SCT.
• Additional: Health and Safety plan if requested; payment terms per contract; no obligation to procure from the lowest bid.

How to Apply

• Obtain documents: free electronic access via etenders.gov.za or Durban website; print and bind for hard copy submission (see SCT).
• Submission: place a sealed hard copy in the Tender Box (ground floor, 166 KE Masinga Road) and also submit electronically via the ESP/JDE system; hard copy governs evaluation (see SCT).
