Overview

Supply and delivery of structural and building materials on an ad-hoc basis. The City of Cape Town invites open bids for on-demand supply and delivery of structural and building materials for a 36-month contract. Suitable bidders are suppliers with demonstrable experience in structural/building materials, aligned to the CCT SCM policy, and prepared to meet tax, registration, and health-and-safety requirements.

Requirements

• Compliance with the CCT SCM Policy and tender conditions; declare conflicts of interest where relevant.
• Complete and submit all returnable documents (e.g., Details of Tenderer, Certificate of Authority for Partnerships/JVs, Declarations, Independent Bid Determination) and Schedule F.13A/F.13B evidence of experience.
• Evidence of relevant contract spend via Performance Letters; minimum functionality score of 60/100.
• Tax compliance: SARS Tax Compliance Status PIN; tax matters in order; separate PINs for JV partners.
• Registration on the City’s Supplier Database and the National Treasury Central Supplier Database (CSD) and keep data updated.
• Occupational health and safety compliance; Health and Safety Plan may be requested.
• Site visit/clarification meeting (16 July 2026, 10:00, MS Teams) recommended; not compulsory.
• If required, provide additional financials or due diligence information for contracts above thresholds (e.g., past audits, financial statements).
• Tender validity: offers remain open for 120 days, with possible extension; two-envelope or single-envelope process as applicable.
