Overview

The contract is for the supply and delivery of tactical and crime scene equipment to the State for the period ending 30 June 2028. It is a transversal contract open to suppliers with capabilities in police/security equipment, protective gear, traffic-control items, and related services, including government bid experience. Attached product specifications cover items such as SAPS body armour vests and various DoT gear (see annexures: 21. Annexure A Male Bullet Resistant Vest.pdf; 16. Requirements

• Comply with the General Conditions of Contract and Special Conditions of Contract (GCC/SCC).
• SBD 6.2 Local Content for Designated Sectors and SBD 5 National Industrial Participation Programme (NIPP) obligations.
• Complete and submit standard documents: SBD 4 Bidder’s Disclosure, SBD 6.2 Local Content, SBD 5 NIPP (as applicable).
• For SAPS body armour components, comply with SAPS specifications (SAPS 323355/25, SAPS 323357/25) and provide compulsory compliance declarations as directed (Annex K), with COMPLY/DO NOT COMPLY for each specification field.
• Patterns for vest manufacture may be SAPS-supplied (DXF format) and printers must be arranged by the bidder (see annexes 5.2).
