Suitable for suppliers of tactical gear and law enforcement equipment with relevant certifications, able to meet GCC and municipality-specific conditions, and registered on Drakenstein Municipality’s supplier database.

Requirements

• General conditions of contract (GCC) and special bidding conditions apply
• Relevant specifications must be met
• Bidders must be registered on Drakenstein Municipality’s supplier database
• Tax status must comply with MBD 1 (Part B)
• Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly marked with the bid number and deposited before closing
• Functionality is not applicable; eligibility criteria determine further evaluation under the 80/20 preference system
• Bid validity period: minimum 180 days
• Successful bidder must complete and sign a written contract

How to Apply

• Documentation: Obtain from Drakenstein Municipality at Wellington Community Service Centre (100 Pentz Street, Wellington). A non-refundable fee of R450 applies for collection; no fee if documents are requested electronically (see Advert PSLE 02-2027.pdf).
• Submission: Place bids in Tender Box 1, Civic Centre, Berg River Boulevard, Paarl, before 10:00 on 03 December 2026 (tenders opened publicly at 10:15).
• Documents to submit: Bid documentation provided by the municipality; ensure compliance with GCC, specifications, supplier database registration, and tax clearance.
• Registrations/pre-qualifications: Register on the Drakenstein supplier database; ensure tax compliance (MBD 1 Part B).
