Overview

Supply and delivery of tiling materials for the Mzimvubu Water Project in the Eastern Cape. This RFQ targets tile suppliers/distributors/manufacturers capable of providing local-content tiling materials (tile spacers, knee pads, ceramic tiles, adhesives, grout, tools, cleaners). Bids favor Eastern Cape-based enterprises and require tax/compliance and local-content proof.

Requirements

• Tax compliance: SARS PIN and Tax Compliance Status (TCS) where applicable; CSD number if no TCS.
• registrations: Central Supplier Database (CSD) number if no TCS; separate TCS for joint ventures/sub-contractors.
• Bid documentation: submit on official forms (SBD4, SBD6.1) and sign where required; may need SBD7 contract if successful.
• Local content and specific goals: complete Annex C Local Content Declaration; comply with 80/20 or 90/10 price framework as applicable; provide proof for goals (women, disability, youth ownership; Eastern Cape location; B-BBEE status levels 1–2).
• Declarations: complete and sign statements in SBD4; confirm independence and absence of collusion; acknowledge consequences for non-compliance.
• Late bids not accepted; submission must follow the stated method and format.

• Submission method: via email to MOLAPOJ@DWS.GOV.ZA (cc: Nkabindev@dws.gov.za; Gumedes2@dws.gov.za); may also be deposited in the bid box at the specified address.
• Documents to submit: completed SBD4 and SBD6.1, Local Content Declaration (Annex C), pricing schedule, and supplier information (including tax/CSD details); include proof of authority (e.g., company resolution).
• Pre-qualification/registrations: Tax compliance (PIN/TCS), CSD, and any BBBEE documentation as applicable.
